Language in Taiwan

Language learning continues to be a significant part of our daily life and ministry. We spend time each week studying vocabulary, practicing grammar, reviewing lessons, and meeting with language partners and teachers. Beyond the classroom, we intentionally use the language in everyday situations such as shopping, ordering food, taking transportation, and building relationships with local people. While there are still challenges, we are encouraged by the progress we are seeing.

Our story

With One Mission Society

"In the early years of our marriage, we felt a clear call to Japan. Through our church, we discovered an opportunity for global ministry with One Mission Society, whose discipleship model resonated with us. Although Japan wasn’t initially listed as an option when we applied, we continued to ask God, “Where are you wanting us to go?” Soon, OMS revealed an unlisted need in Japan—a field they had planned to close after two decades with little movment. However, a recent wave of interest inspired OMS to keep Japan open, despite the significant support required to rebuild momentum. Japan, OMS’s first mission field over 100 years ago, is now experiencing renewed interest and growth."
